The National Rental Home Council Congratulates Scott Turner on Confirmation as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development

Washington, D.C. (February 5, 2025) – The National Rental Home Council (NRHC) and its members, representing America’s single-family rental home industry, congratulate Scott Turner on his confirmation as U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

“NRHC and its members congratulate Secretary Turner and look forward to working with him to support the rental home market and the millions of Americans who count on it every day to provide quality, affordably-priced homes for their families,” said David Howard, CEO of NRHC. “We are encouraged by Secretary Turner’s commitment to policies allowing for much needed new housing development and investment and welcome an opportunity to work with the Department of Housing and Urban Development in its efforts to expand access to housing for all Americans.”

“Accounting for nearly half of the rental housing in the United States, single-family rental homes play a vital role in providing flexible and financially suitable options in the nation’s housing market. As they seek to address the challenges facing that market – in particular, housing affordability – Secretary Turner and the Trump-Vance administration must ensure that single-family rental homes are part of the solution.”
